A Quiet Place

It’s life ‘Ju’ but not as we know it.

A busy day at work today, but suddenly it comes to an end and what to do? A feeling of quiet seems to seep through my body, it’s loneliness for sure, instead of a warm greeting and a smile and a hug, there’s nothing. We used to joke that our ‘hug batteries’ needed charging, well I know what it feels like when they go flat now.

Not to sit around and wallow in it, decided to go to the harbour and get something to eat and sit somewhere near the river and watch the sun disappear. Something I’ve done many times but it feels like a different world now, instead of sharing what we see together I will use my camera, it’s still the same beautiful world out there that we’ve been coming to since 1977, we need to practice travelling together again now but in a new way.
